Overview[edit]

A minigame ending from Mario Party 7
The ending to Easy Pickings

The players ride minecarts through a mine to the area where the game takes place. When the players arrive there, they all break the rocks in their path.

The goal of the game is to find gems by smashing rocks. Red gems are worth one point, and purple gems are worth three points. The dark-colored rocks cannot be broken. Both the solo player and team of three must smash light-colored rocks to win. However, the solo player uses a giant pickaxe, which breaks rocks with a single hit. Each member of the team of three uses a small pickaxe, which breaks rocks with three hits. The side that collects more gems within 30 seconds wins. However, if the solo player and the team of three get the same number of gems by the end, the game concludes in a draw.
